Lupus Awareness

Lupus education for primary care providers

SE PA AHEC has teamed up with the American College of Rheumatology and the National AHEC Organization to provide small group education sessions on lupus. SE PA AHEC works with local partners to provide education and training to providers in southeastern Pennsylvania on how to recognize the disease. The goal of each session is to make non-rheumatology clinicians comfortable with identifying potential cases of lupus and connecting them with local rheumatologists to whom they can refer patients if they suspect lupus.

On Sept. 30, 2020 from 6pm-7:30pm, SE PA AHEC will host Identifying Lupus In Primary Care, a virtual webinar presented by one of Philadelphia's top rheumatologists. This event is free for any one who works in primary care. Registration is free, but space is limited.

American College of Rheumatology’s Small Group Provider Sessions on Lupus are supported by the Grant or Cooperative Agreement Number, 6 NU58 DP006138, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Supporting materials are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily represent official views of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the Department of Health and Human Services.
